Maurice Meyer

With his colorful sunsets and moonlight coastlines Maurice Meyer has captivated art enthusiasts for decades. From Laguna Beach to Hawaii Meyer captures waterfalls, mountains, and horizons with incredible detail.   Appreciated in the past by such collectors as Bob Hope and Richard Nixon, his works decorate businesses such as the  Transworld Insurance Company and he's been commissioned to paint for clients all over the world.

Meyer was born in Memphis Tennessee 1936 and perfected his talents while studying at the Memphis Art Academy. Impressed with the works of Rembrandt, Maurice developed a similar style he refers to as "traditional realism" and is now known as the "Rembrandt of seascapes".   Notice how easily you could have mistaken the watery background of this page for the real thing and you will see Meyer's magic.   Meyer now resides in southern California with his wife and continues painting today.
